At GAMA 2019, Rick sits down with Monte Cook Games to take a closer look at Numenera: Slaves of the Machine God, Priests of the Aeons and Book of M!
Slaves of the Machine God contains two story arcs in eight parts each. They interweave to create a rich, multithemed campaign, or you can run them separately as two multiadventure mini-campaigns. Most of the parts also work well as standalone adventures, giving you a dozen full-sized adventures you can insert into any ongoing campaign.
Priests of the Aeons lets you explore the Order of Truth. Learn its many secrets. Work with the Aeon Priests, discover new ways to optimize your character’s abilities and equipment, and perhaps even join the order as they seek to bring the wonders of the ancients to the Ninth World.
Whatever the source of its name, Book M is one of the rarest and most sought-after grimoires. It’s whispered to contain otherwise unknown spells, incantations, rituals, charms, hexes, and more. Plus potions, amulets, bezoars, spiritstones, and madstones, as well as other physical ephemera. Within its pages a vislae might even discover artifacts of great power.
